Why You Need a Book Proposal …
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I have a new article on my site: “Why You Should Write a Book Proposal (Even If You Plan to Self-Publish).”
I want you to read it, because it explains why writing a book proposal will help you write a better book, faster and easier, even if you plan on self-publishing.
As usual, I also offer some Action Steps so that you can make the most of the ideas I present.
That’s why I call myself “your book publishing coach,” after all.

Diane, you are absolutely right.
Drafting your proposal (and back-cover sales copy) will help you focus on who your market is and what you plan to deliver to them.
Whether you plan to sell out to a publisher or publish yourself, prior planning will make the writing faster and easier. For details, see
Writing Your Book. Thinking/planning, writing and deciding on publishing: Get an agent, find a publisher or publish yourself.
