The other day on my morning walk I found a penny on the road. I picked it up and thought, “I wonder if there’s anything one can still buy with a penny?”
That very day I got an answer, which seemed quite serendipitous.
What you can buy with a penny: a professionally-designed header for your website or blog.

That’s great, if only i had a website to put it on, haha. XD Guess i’ll have to miss out on this one.
By the way, i’ve been meaning to ask you (or i might have already and just forgot about it) have you heard of a website called book-editing.com? They offer to find editors and such things for your book, mostly freelancers. I was just wondering if it’s a scam, because i dont want to send my book to just anyone. The site seemed legit, but i have a hard time telling when something isn’t real or when someone is lying to me.
If you know of the site anything you could tell me would be great. If not, dont worry about it. I’m sure i’ll be able to figure it out somehow…

I looked over their site, and it looks legit. I do not have any personal experience with them, so I can’t say for sure. But one good sign is they seem willing to have you contact past clients. Also, they advocate Preditors & Editors. They really seem to be above board and of the same spirit I have–to truly help authors and keep them from getting scammed.

See, that’s what i thought. But a few of my friends (who shall remain nameless) thought it was too good to be true. But, i really do think its a good idea. If you want your book taken seriously, you need to be serious about it, and get a good editor. Easier said than done when you’re a new author, but this site really seemed like it was out to change that, you know?
Haha, i’m rambling. I tend to do that a lot…
