Resource Roundup for Authors–You’re Invited (Ask Your Question)

By Diane

It’s been awhile since I’ve conducted a teleseminar, and I’m itching to do one.

People have been asking me many questions, on a wide range of topics.

However, most of them fell under the topics of …

  • how do I get started?
  • how do I manage the technical stuff, like creating a website and setting up to sell on the Web?
  • how do I best get published? (including, how do I get a publisher to notice me and/or decide which self-publisher won’t rip me off?)
  • how do I market/promote/develop a following?

I’ve got great news!On Tuesday night, May 27, I will be answering these questions by giving you specific direction and resources.

This will be the first “Resource Roundup for Authors” teleseminar in which I’ll give you “the best of the best”–resources I use myself, and access to information I think you’ll find invaluable.

You will get a Resource Guide with links to all the resources covered in the call.

Many of them will not cost you a cent.

The ones that will cost, you can be sure are a great value, returning you many dollars to the penny in terms of time saved, access to expertise that will cut off your learning curve, and give you an edge in terms of knowing your next step.

Specifically, I will talk about:

  • a cool tool that will help you be more productive (free!)
  • how to start your book or information product–so that it sells.
  • access to experts on book proposals, including a guest appearance by Terry Whalin. Got a book proposal question? Make sure you ask it!
  • how to start a website and/or blog (and when to use each). Best software to use, and other resources to help you get your site up quickly, easily, inexpensively, and effectively–and manage it yourself! (You really don’t need a webmaster with these tools.
  • Cathy Perkins, “the WordPress Wizard” who set up my blogs for me (and taught me how to manage it myself) will be a special guest. If you have a question about blogging, ask it, and she’ll do what she can to answer it on Tuesday. (Plus you’ll find out how to get your questions answered on a weekly basis.)
  • how to set things up so you can sell online
  • a great resource on self-publishing. I can’t wait to tell you about this one!
  • two “different” (as in a cut above the rest) publishers to consider.
  • a way to get $14,500 of resources for about a tenth of that cost (You may already know about this one. <g>)

On the call, you will get to ask your question, and I’ll do my best to answer it.

You can also ask your question now, here. Sign up even if you don’t have a question, so you’ll be sure to get the call-in information.

Please plan to attend the live call, which will be on Tuesday, 5 p.m. Pacific, 7 p.m. Central, 8 p.m. Eastern, okay?

Walking on the paths of the successful people is a key to success. We al want to be successful I in life and if we want the same we should walk on the steps of the famous personalities and those people who are very successful in life.

In fact, this principle is as old as time itself, with the concept of discipleship and apprenticeship and mentoring.

I think we need to choose our mentors carefully. I follow people who are “successful” by my definition, which is not necessarily the definition of our cultuure. “Famous” is not necessarily attractive to me; I look for what they’re famous for.
